This course is being offered as a preparation towards the GCE Winter Performance Project to be held in Sievershausen (Germany) next January, and is also open to those who can’t attend the project but wish to keep learning/practicing and reviewing the current repertoire, calisthenics, ear training and fretboard knowledge exercises.
Dr.Mike will be presenting Theme work.
We’ll review the current GCE Repertoire, focusing strongly on the material that we plan to perform.
We’ll also take Ear Training, Fretboard Knowledge and Calisthenics further and begin with Guided Practice which includes Applied Calisthenics.
Upon request from various members of the GC Community we’ll also offer a GC Classics section, by Horacio, he’ll respond to questions and give advice about the pieces recently published in the “Seven GC Themes” book, it is necessary to have a copy of the book to participate in this sector.
The course is open to those who have at least attended one Guitar Craft and/or Guitar Circle courses, have an established Morning Sitting Practice and have taken the principles presented seriously. It offers the opportunity to work over an extended period of time, guided by an experienced Team.
Dr.Mike informs:
‘Themes Work for this AAD will take a different form. Instead of working on a series of Themes, we shall work with three specific exercises: the Job of the Day; The Field of Quality Exercise; and the Expanded Present Moment Exercise.
How we structure this work will be set out in an invitation once the AAD begins. There will be separate sites for each exercise, and guidance will be given as to which exercises are most appropriate for you.
In the course of this work, other Themes may arise, which will allow us to explore various aspects of the exercises.
As always, how far we go depends on the work of the Team.’
In order to participate an Application Letter is requested:
– Who are you? (please list all GC Courses that you have attended)
– Why do you wish to participate?
– What is your Aim?
