“Tengo una deuda sustancial con la gente que hizo posible que la J. G. Bennett’s International Academy for Continuous Education sucediera en Sherborne House en los años 70, y tengo otra deuda con la gente
que mantuvo este trabajo vivo como Guitar Craft y Guitar Circle. Entonces estoy muy contento de tener esta oportunidad para hacer un pago. Tengo la intención de hacerlo estando presente y disponible en la medida en que soy capaz, y compartiendo “bocadillos” de sabiduría práctica a los que tengo acceso. Me resisto a la urgencia de esperar algo, pero tengo una esperanza confiable en que obtendré mucho de esto. Espero que ustedes también, esto tiene poco o nada que ver conmigo: se trata de ustedes y de vuestra relación con el trabajo que todos compartimos.”
Requisitos para participar:
1. Haber participado en al menos un Curso Guitar Craft y/o Guitar Circle/Ensamble
2. Haber trabajado y aplicado los Principios presentados
3. Carta de Aplicación aceptada
Guitar Orchestra of Latin America (‘GOLA’) dará dos Performances públicas en La Plata, Viernes 26 de Abril (Centro Cultural Islas Malvinas) y Sábado 27 de Abril (Pasaje Dardo Rocha, Auditorio Scalabrini Ortiz).
Parte de nuestro trabajo, en paralelo a ensayar y prepararnos, será apoyar el trabajo de Curso Beginner (INTRO a Guitar Ensemble) que se dara en la casa durante los cuatro primeros dias del Proyecto. La Plata es una ciudad grande a 70 km de Buenos Aires, la capacidad de la casa es limitada, quien desee asistir por favor confirmar lo antes posible para reservar su lugar.

“I owe a substantial debt to the people who made J. G. Bennett’s International Academy for Continuous Education happen at Sherborne House in the 1970s, and another debt to the people who kept that work alive as Guitar Craft and Guitar Circle. So I am very happy to have this chance to make a payment. I intend to do that by being present and available to the extent that I am able, and by sharing whatever tidbits of practical wisdom I have access to. I resist the urge to expect anything, but I have a confident hope that I will get a lot out of this. I hope you will too, but that has little or nothing to do with me: it’s about you and your relationship with the work that we all share.”
This Special Project centering on The Guitar Orchestra is available to those who have:
1. attended at least one Guitar Craft and/or Guitar Circle/Ensemble Course.
2. worked with and applied the principles presented.
3. their application letter accepted.
The Guitar Orchestra will hold two public Performances in La Plata, Friday 26th April (Centro Cultural Islas Malvinas) and Saturday 27th April (Pasaje Dardo Rocha, Auditorio Scalabrini Ortiz).
Part of our work, in paralell with rehearsing and preparing, will be supporting the Beginners Course (Intro to Guitar Ensemble) that will be held in the house during the four first days of the Project.
La Plata is a major city 70 km away from Buenos Aires, the house capacity is limited, if you wish to attend please confirm asap in order to reserve your place.
